As far as I know, there isn't a common name. Over here in Singapore, we just call it HC for short.

The plant is usually sold in its emersed form. The submersed form looks the same although the leaves might be slightly smaller. Color-wise, it all depends on the nutrient management. Healthy ones grow a lush green.

I've grown a lot of H. callitrichoides. I find that it does best with CO2, good direct light (>2.5wpg), cool water, and lots of nutrients available to the roots.
