Looking for pellia (monosolenium spp)

Hi there,

Does anyone out there have some of this aquatic liverwort? Tropica sells it, but as we all know they don't export to the US (why is that anyway??). I once found some in the wild (or at least a virtually identical-looking species) growing in a sphagnum bog in northern Wisconsin USA. Unfortunately, I'm now a 1000 miles away from the source with no plans to return anytime soon. I have a new fairly small tank, so my list for trade is not too exciting---but I'll happily trade a little of whatever I can if someone is interested. I have some Crypt. balansae, Rotala indica, mayaca, glossostigma, Crypt. retrospiralis, Ludwigia repens, dwarf hair grass, Cabomba carolinia, Limnophila sessifolia, and Riccia. Nothing exciting I know. In any case, even a tiny portion of pellia would be valuable to me.

Regards,
Caywood

Hi. I could have some perhaps by later in the summer. I did get what I have from a board member or two here, so perhaps they can help you out sooner.

Out of curiosity, where in Northern WI did you see the Pellia? You don't have to spill it if you don't want to... I'm within 75 miles or so of Superior, so that could be an interesting field trip. :)
i have some pellia. I might be interested in some c.retrospiralis

sent me a pm if you still have some more. Thanks
