Hi everyone,

I am currently using M3 Colorquartz black sand and i am wondering if anyone knows if it does anything to the water chemistry? I dont have the tools to test for this, so i was hoping if anyone else here have an insight on this. It is currently being used in my shrimp tanks for my, red cherries, yellows, and snowballs.

3M Colorquartz is pH neutral and does not affect the water quality. However, I hope you washed the substrate before putting it in to make sure that there are no contaminants. I'm using it in my 3-gal Betta tank currently.

You can check out the details here.

Good Luck.

regards,
Ravi
