The Marineland Penguin 150 BIO-Wheel Power Filter is a great filter. It has a high flow rate, and if you raise the water level you'll get minimal surface agitation. The two part lid, one covering the biowheel, and the other covering hte fliter compartment is annoying b/c it when doing anything with the filter one has to take both off anyhow to perform any maintence. So what's the point of having two lids? All in all, great filter, great flow rate, quiet, and efficient.

I agree, though it's not too annoying for me, I just take them both off when I do maintenance, I like looking into it sometimes and only taking part off.

Great filter for the money. Has done me very well in my 28gal. planted tank. Use it and also a Penguin 100 Bio-wheel. With 10% water change weekly, no problems at all with this filter.
