My new 63 gallon tank

Hi everyone!
This is my new tank, that is not finished yet…well it will ever be? But this is another question. In meantime there are the first photos.
I hope you like it and I'm waiting your comments and your critics.

Amazing array of colors! The only thing it needs is for the HC to cover the foreground. Great tank!

Maran,

R. indica and R. rotundifolia are the same plant. "indica" has been used for a long time, but the proper species epithet is "rotundifolia". It has very round leaves when grown emersed. Rotundifolia means round-leaved.

Yes, but i'm thinking is red rotala with 2 leafs around (like rotala sp. 'green') is r.rotundifolia but pink rotala with 3 leafs is r. indica but i may be wrong, do you know explanation.

Are you sure Phil? I know that on Tropica page r.rotundifolia=r.indica but i'm not sure that true. I think that rotundifolia grown much fast than r.indica, had thiner leafs and is red-orange (r.indica is pink-red)
This IMO is r.rotundifolia (2 long leafs, red/orange color, very similar to r.spec. green):

I think that all pictures in PlantFinder in r.rotundifolia are wrong because it's not this plant(there is r.indica on pictures).

I think that is Rotala sp. 'Rio', I remember Alex from Brazil showing me a picture of it, it had two leafs per node.

I don't think so because i buy my 2leafs rotala in shop and this was pot from Tropica Denmark(it was r.rotundifolia, i think Tropica haven't R.sp "Rio" in his offert). Compare r.rotundifolia and r.rotundifolia green...it's the same species: thin leafs, two per node, fast grown....only color is different :wink:. If r.indica=r.rotundifolia why she don't looks like r.rotundifolia green and she has 3leafs per node?

Mr. Jeff Senske your work as been a great influence for me and a great source for this passion I have for planted tanks and it´s really nice to hear that words from you. Thank you.
Neptun, of course I don´t mind to share my plants species in this tank:
- Rotala rotundifolia
- Rotala rotundifolia "green"
- Eusteralis stellata
- Didiplis diandra
- Ludwigia inclinata var. verticillata "cuba"
- Hemianthus micranthemoides
- Glossostigma elatinoides
- riccia fluitans
- Sagittaria subulata
- anubia nana "petit"
Regarding the Rotala rotundifolia case, has Phil said, I also thought that rotala indica was another name to the same plant. But Norbert now has made a point with his observation....this plant I have is from tropica an have two leafs per node. In a shop near me recently I saw Rotala indica from a farm in spain called Lucanas and it have also two leafs by node. So at this point will be very nice that we could be sure if we are talking about the same or not.

My Rotala sp green grows 3 leaves per node on the rare stem. I have had Rotala indica from the same batch from 3 or 4 leaves per node. So that is not a way to distinguish.
