Hello:
I was in the daytona area earlier this month and decided to forage around some local drainage ditches.
I managed to find some different plants, including ludwigia, and a couple sagitaria species, along with some pickeral plants,, but in one ditch I noticed some species of fish around the surface, so I decided to take a swipe or two with a net I had along...
I managed to collect what I think were some mousquito fish, a small brownish shrimp, and a bunch of patterned fish I was not sure what they were.
at first I thought they were a variety of pygmy sunfish, but now I am not so sure..
I posted the pic at a local fish forum and a couple people said they were gobies.....
I am hoping some of you local folks can help identify these fish.
thanks
david
