Looks like you have your stem plants rubberband together, remove it & spread the stems out. If you leave them bunched together they will die, due to light not being able to reach all stems.

I seperate the stems, then trim the bottoms. But then I bundle two or three stems together
with a metal weight and have not had any problems.

THe L. Repens grows about 3" a week.
I have added L. Sessiflora and Sunset Hygro and they are growing fast also.
