Hi all,

I would like to buy the Ideal V52-1 needle valve (with Vernier handle for precise adjustments), but I need your help to decide if this valve is suitable for my project.

I have very small experimental tanks (4 gallons each) for experiments with the growth rates of aquarium plants under different nutrient concentrations, so I need to be able to adjust really low flows. For example, I need to be able to easily change the setting from 10 bubbles per minute to 11 or 12 bubbles per minute, so I need to be able to change the number of bubbles by 1 or 2 bubbles per minute (not per second).

Please, can anyone tell me if this is possible with this Ideal valve?
And can anyone try this out to tell me how much (in inches or other units) the handle needs to be turned (using this kind of valve) in order to increase or decrease the bubble rate by 1 bubble per minute?

Thank you very much for your help!
