My nerites little round part of their shell isnt looking so good its white and a little dented in... they are in my ten gallon non aggressive community tank the ph stays around 7-7.6 and they scavenge off food the shrimps/fish dont eat and eat the algae (got plenty of it)

they are olive nerites

In severe cases you can repair their shells with reef putty. I never did get to the bottom of the causes myself (although it never happened in low-tech, non-co2 tanks), but that really does work, and I kept some alive for years that way. Not pretty though... :p

how would u do that? the reef putty?

Just pull off a piece, mix the two components together, put some on the shell where it's eroded and plop them back in. It hardens under water.
