You've got room in this tank to add more plant species without removing plants. Let the plants sort it out for you.
Tank looks nice.
With this high light intensity and a 12 hour photoperiod, you could try floating plants.

Adjustment is tricky. No wonder people have trouble with plants! That's why I recommend starting with a small tank to gain experience and plants acclimated to the submerged form and their tank situation.

Yes that’s C. Wendti Bronze. It may out grow this little 10 Gallon before it’s over. I haven’t read anything on how to propagate it. How does that work?
C. wendtii is a perfect size plant for a 10 gal! A single plant will not get too big. It should spread automatically. Indeed, it looks like yours has already sent out little plantlets around the periphery of the mother plant. You should be able to transplant one of these bigger plantlets to start a new colony elsewhere in the tank.
