Well I kind of decided against a nature aquarium style, I certainly do not have the knowledge, skill or experience to creat such an aquascape. Although I startred with the Amano 'three' rock principle, the aquarium has far too many species of plants to mimic a Nature Aquarium design. This said, I am fairly pleased with what has taken shape - after all a 5ft x 2ft x 2ft tank is quite a project.

The water appears quite stable at pH 6.8 and the fish are thriving. The Neon tetra's (15 in all) are an amazing colour and the two angels are in heaven. Just added four baby keyhole cichlids, these chaps are small - about the size of a plump neon tetra! Normally keyholes lack confidence but these four must feel secure becaue of the plants - already out swimming quite boldly.

I have been using extra Potassium liquid alongside daily fertilizer and have upped the lighting by adding a 55watt T5. I will start to take some photos soon so you can all have a good laugh!
