Need suggestions for floating plants to add to my 4 gallon tank. The rest of the tank is packed. Now looking for a floater that isn't to invasive. I want sugestions besides duckweed.

I'm going to have to post some pics here....

You can try frogbit, riccia or water hyacinth.

Salvinia minima is also a good floater, it stays small and is MUCH easier to remove than duckweed (absolutely no comparison). I like frogbit but the roots can get too long for some tanks. Phyllanthus fluitans (red root floater) is great as it's easy to remove the extras and has a beautiful color when it bright light. The roots don't grow very long so they don't get in the way.

I use water sprite as my floater (and, unwillingly, duckweed). It grows extremely fast, and trimming involves pulling off a couple of branches, throwing them back in the tank, and tossing the original.

If you have shrimp, they love it.
