Hi all,

I just ordered some plants mailordered off the web.

One of the species I was after was, N. Zenkeri (red), however the plant I received doesn't have any "purple spots" on the leaves which I thought Zenkeri forms are supposed to have.

I emailed the company informing them that they may have sent me "Nymphaea species red", and they replied saying I'd have to wait for some of the leaves to develop more before they got their spots.

So my question is: is there anyone who has N. Zenkeri Red in their tanks and have found that it takes time for baby plants to develop their "varigated/spotted" appearance?

(I didn't even get a bulb! get a small plant)

I haven't really paid all that much attention but to best of my knowledge the purple spots are there from day one.
