Every month I feature a different plant on my WEB site, and for June it is

Cryptocoryne moehlmannii, this vastly under rated and understated Cryp is from the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It is very adaptable in the aquarium, and unproblematic to grow. It is a nice mid level to background plant that grows fairly slowly under moderate light. I feed mine substrate fertilizer, (Giovanni fert capsules). It looks simular to ciliata and Cryptocoryne pontederiifolia. In fact at one time pontederiifolia and moehlmannii were thought to be the same specie. Both are found in the same areas of Sumatra. Both have leaves that vary in texture from smooth to bullate/hammered. It certainly has its own character.
