We are pleased to announce the addition of root tabs to our product lineup. With industry-leading element concentrations, and a greater number of tabs per package, our root tabs represent a great value and an excellent method for enriching any substrate. oooooooooooooo!

what's the dosing on these? also what shape and size are they? how do you deliver them to the substrate? I have aquariumplants.com root tab/pellets and they are delivered via a wand. You put the pellet in one end, stick it in the substrate under the plant, and push a plunger on the other end. I'm wondering if these can be used with that method?

thanks!

Great questions, Danielle. Our root tabs are approximately 3/4" diameter discs - which means they are much too big to be used with the aquariumplants.com wand. To use our tabs, you simply push each tab into the substrate by hand. Our root tabs cover 45 sq in per tab (720 sq in of coverage per package), and last up to 4 months.

You can definitely break them into smaller pieces; it will not affect the effectiveness at all.
