what's the dosing on these? also what shape and size are they? how do you deliver them to the substrate? I have aquariumplants.com root tab/pellets and they are delivered via a wand. You put the pellet in one end, stick it in the substrate under the plant, and push a plunger on the other end. I'm wondering if these can be used with that method?

Can they be broken up and distributed under the plants or should they be kept whole?
