My Mini pH Checker by Hanna has just gone on the blink. Litmus strips offer no accuracy. So what would you recommend as an accurate electronic pH tester? Hanna, Pinpoint, Vital Sine and others make pH testers. But which would you recommend as an accurate, cost-effective solution for an aquarist keeping planted tanks?

My Hanna also went on the blink (okay, I dropped it into the tank  ).
I picked up a Milwaukee SM101 pH meter to replace it. It's a portable meter than runs on a 9V battery so you can't leave it on continously (battery life is rated at only 70hrs).

I got it from Premium Aquatics for $59 + shipping a few months ago. But I'd contact Glass-Gardens to see if they can get it since their price on Milwaukee equipment is really good.
