I realize this will show my 'vast knowledge' of technology, but for posting pics on the forum, is it as simple as going to the attachment section, or does one have to go through a link from another web page?

just use the attachment section

You can use the attachment section, just be aware that you only get a qouta of 250kb or so. Once that limit is reached you can post into your personal gallery(located in the album section) and then url link to that image. Hope it helps. Personally I don't like the littel box around the th epic when using the attachment feature...... and I used up my quota :roll:
