Want to think you guys for the compliments..appreciate it. The tank doesn't compair to some of the pic's of your tanks I have seen, BUt am new at this.
The tank is kind of a jungle right now, but read to plant heavily in the begining.
My parimaters are .. PH 7.8 GH 7dgh KH 4dkh .. no3, no2, nh3 all 0.
50 gal .. 2 x 65 power compact, and one 4 ft 40 watt fixture. all 6700 daylight bulbs.
No co2 at this point, but is something I am thinking about ...as it would also get my PH down.... not sure yet???

Yes, CO2 would get the pH down. If you got the pH down to 6.8, with your KH=4, you would have 19 ppm CO2 which is good.

Then the only thing you will need are your nutrients: NO3, PO4, K, Fe, and traces.

I am still not sure about the co2 .. If the tank does good, I may do without?? Just have to decide if the co2 improvement would be worth the addition 200. + cost.
I haven't started adding any nutrients .. was told to hold off a couple months sense it was a new tank. I am kind of leary starting that anyway, I can see myself messing up and crashing my tank

I had thought about the DYI co2 .. But sense I have a 50 gl tank...would take about three bottles to do it right. I may just go ahead and get a co2 setup....have been watching for deals. Even posted on here to see if anyone had a set up they were not using (no replies so far)
What do you guys think about this deal, and any comments on this particular brand??

Tank Update

Has been a while sense I first posted on my first planted tank.
I have set up a co2 system with controler, and am also adding KN03, Kp04, and Flourish. Haven't gotten down a good doesing suystem yet, As I can see the plants changing from good to not so good at times.
But here is an updated picture of the tank as it is now,

the last picture is doing justice to your beautiful tank. ... the first pics looks boring, simply becuase they are under exposed..

Cheers
Thank you .. Picture was taken with a differant camera, and also the tank has had a couple months to mature. I think the added CO2 has helped a bit also. Thanks again for the compliments on the tank
