i know they make those metal anchors for plants,is there any plants that really need these anchors it seems to me that the stem by the anchors where it is look like the stem is all brown im trying not to use them i havent had any plants uproot without them does anyone use these anchors

I'm sure some do. But there is absolutly no need for them. In fact its pretty safe to say the plants would prefer not to have them.

No, it is best to remove the weights before planting. If the weights stay on too long the stems will rot.
