I realise this won't be a totally true one with the betta splendens I have, but I would like to explore at least the possibility of plants that might be found in such an environment.

I may consider doing a Paludarium as I have a 4 gallon with a cracked back that might make a nice partly terrestrial setup.

I have a lovely little betta, I have named him Kaon.

So, what sort of things would make this close to right?

Thanks!

If you're looking to provide a better environment to the bettas, you can check out the Indian Almond Leaves also known as Catappa leaves. These are dried leaves that when left in the tank provides minerals that soothe the bettas. These are leaves that are found in their natural environment. These leaves also makes the water slightly acidic.

Just Google the name and you can find tons of interesting information. You can buy them in eBay.

Hope this helps.

regards,
Ravi
