The tips of the leaves rotten as you can see in the picture. I already put in Miracle Grow, a lot to help the plants but seems like it's dying day by day. I left lights on 14-16 hour per day. Does anyone know what diseases or whats wrong with the plants by looking at the symtoms? Thanks.

Isn't that a water hyacinth, which is a pond plant. I'm really not sure how you would go about taken care of it in an aquarium. It also may not be wise to use Miracle grow if you have fish in the tank, I'm not sure how it will affect them. Plants only need 8-12 hours of lighting per day, so I would cut back on that.

Here is some info for fertilizing your plants & other need to know info...

Are you fully submerging the plant in an aquarium or are you only filling it with
water up to the dirt line? If your submerging it the Miracle Grow is going to
be a bad choice, actually I wouldn't use it in ether case but submersion is
the worst.

Miracle Grow is for outside non-aquatic plants and it has fertilizers and
moister additives for those plants your better off getting inert non-fertilizer,
non-additive top soil from a nursery for pond plants.

Thanks. Correct that is Water hyacinth. Nornally i put them outdoor but winter's coming so i try to bring a few indoor and put in a tank of water. I put soil underneath because i think they need it but absolutely no fish in the tank. I was only try to keep them alive past the winter time but looks like they dying.
