I have potted aquarium plant with that foam type stuff in it. I was wondering if that needs to be taken off the plant before I plant it in the aquarium? Or if I need to take all or most off of it?

It would be a good idea to gently remove the plant from the pot and seperate as much of the rookwool it is planted in as possible.

I would definately remove it from the pot and the outter foam stuff in order for your plant to grow or esle the roots would be all bunched up in one place.

The wool can be difficult to remove from around the roots. What I do is once I get the majority of the wool removed by hand then I will run luke warm tap water over the reminder which causes the wool to loosen up making it easier to remove.
