Hi there,

I have begun plans for my 4x2x2 planted discus tank, here are the preliminary ideas plans. Opinions welcomed

Sumps are usually not a fixture in a planted tank. It looks like your using it as a filter instead of using a canister/HOB as most do, so I guess that will work.

Purigen should not be needed & very little Bio-balls will need to be used.

In a 114G tank you will difinately need to go with pressurized C02, there is no way that DIY will give you the needed 30ppm.

What type of lighting do you plan on using?
