I spoke to some of you and told you I had a Rotala sp. from the Aquarium Center that was completely unlabeled at the store. Here's some pics, I believe this came directly from Oriential, any idea what species this might be?




This is some rotundifolia grown in the same tank for contrast:

Oh, wow! Those are some spectacular photos of Rotala macrandra "Green!" Can we use them in the Plant Finder?

Yep, that's the plant.

Those are really nice photos. And to think someone once offered me that plant in a trade and I declined it! :?

Greg, I got some stems of that r. macrandra 'green' from last weekends plant swap. The regular r. macrandra in my tank is almost blood red, well, when its happy. It seems like the 'green' variety is very easy and weedy, not nearly as picky as the regular macrandra.

I'm really glad somebody identified this. I have some in my 75 gallon and it grows like crazy under only 2 wpg.
