I just setup my DIY CO2 and have it hooked to a Hagen mini filter to better breakup, disperse the bubbles. I am wondering, I can set it up with my lights so that the mini filter doesn't run except when the lights are on or I can set it up to run all the time.
What do you think would be better? To leave it on means less fluctuation but I know the plants don't need it at night. The Co2 would still bubble in at night but not be diffused as much as when the filter runs all night.
Opinions?
I have 2 liter bottles going to boost CO2 on my 55 but plan to continue to dose Excel as per Saechem's dosing schedule. Should I cut back on the Excel?
Thanks

Just let it run. It is highly unligely that you will create enouth co2 with DIY to hurt your Fauna.

I agree with the other statements. You won't overdose on DIY unless you have several 2 liter bottles.

Don't stop adding excel. It is not the same as CO2 gas and has a different uptake rate.
