i just wanted to show off my tank...it isnt complete, but i just moved and the tank is now a mess....a 40 gal. planted is a tough thing to tear down, catch fish, and move....but hopefully it will be back soon and i can get on with its completion.

Are those Echinodorus bleheri (common swords) near that big piece of driftwood? Those will get enormous!

Otherwise, you have a pleasant tank. Keep us updated with how it all turns out. :)

yes, i think they are common swords, i have had them for about 2 years, they were under lower light before this tank, and grew slowly, it does grow a bit faster now but i have just been trimming....do you have a sword suggestion that will stay a bit smaller, say 20" tall or so?

The following are "smaller" swords:

Echinodorus "Harbich"
Echinodorus schlueteri "Leopard"
Echinodorus parviflorus
Echinodorus Kleiner Bar
...or you could not use an Echinodorus species at all. Why not a large Cryptocoryne like pontederiifolia?
