Hi, I'm quite new to the hobby but like it a lot. I was given a 20L/5.3gal tank and with my limited knowledge at the time, it didn't go well. Now I have started all over again and made an in my opinion nice aquascape and am waiting to plant it. I want to put blue dream shrimp in it but also kind of want some kind of fish in there. Is that a possibility? I thought about corydoras habrosus but have heard mixed stuff about them in such a tank size. What would my recommendation be for any shrimp tank mates? I would prefer less messy eaters if possible as I kind of made a path in my scape and would like to keep it looking like a path lol. Also, do blue dreams stand out nicely on black substrate irl? As I can still switch up my decision for nicer looking shrimp. Anyone know any good breeders in the Netherlands by any chance?

Otocinculus
small Cories
Khuli Loach
Neon Blue Stiphodon - this species of Stiphodon is a herbivore, others are omnivores.

Just about every other fish will eat shrimp. Who doesn't like shrimp?

Thanks for the fast reply, I heard about the otocinculus and cories but I've read that they should be kept in groups which could pose as a problem for such a small tank not? I have thought of khuli loaches but didnt find them to be that attractive. The stiphodon on the other hand look gorgeous! But I cant find that much about them with shrimp in such a confined space, and what I did find didn't seem that positive. Do you have any more experience or insight to share?

Read my tag line at the bottom of my post. Just remember that not all Stiphodons (Gobies) are herbivores.

Yes, cories and khulis do better in groups but will do fine alone.
