APC is not for profit. Although, it does take money to keep the forum alive. Bandwith, Storage, and Maintaining the site are not free and are continually getting more expensive. Our company bought the forum from Art to ease the burden of the expenses involved, and have been managing the back-end of it for about a year now. He still remains an administrator as per the agreement. Any money made through our advertisements or supporters goes into paying for the sites expenses. We may turn a small profit but it is not our main goal. The goal is to provide you all with a great place to upload pictures of your planted tanks and have a great community to talk about your projects and success stories. In order to achieve and maintain that goal, and have the features we provide, advertisers and supporters are needed. Otherwise, would not be able to provide the storage for our galleries or afford the bandwidth. I hope that clears things up a little bit. :mrgreen:
