I can’t get over how much I’m enjoying this. It was set up on the spur of the moment last month when my mom gave me the pond. I’d guess it’s 30-50 gallons. It’s got various aquatic plants including some thriving stem plants and snails from the aquarium. The cats snack on the papyrus.

There‘s a small pump for water movement. I’m switching to a solar pump soon. No filter. Much to my surprise the water has stayed crystal clear from day one. Due to evaporation and the cats and dogs drinking out of it I have to top off about 25% each week, which I do with the hose (well water).

I‘m removing the large shells soon and putting the turtle on something dark and moving it back amongst the plants.
