might be worrying about nothing but I'm using co2 in a 75g and I've got a KH reading of around 7.5 - 8 dkh and ph of 6.8 - 7.

almost all of the large trumpet snails in the tank have what looks like eaten away shell at the tip of their shell...not that I give [email protected] about the trumpets but a LFS started carrying FW nerites and I've bought a dozen...

is my KH alright for snails?

My snails shells do the same thing but I have very soft water, With hard water like yours I would think they should be fine. You could try adding some cuttlebone to the tank & filter for some extra calcium. I've do this & it has helped some what.

I agree with trenac.Yours should be fine but I would try to add either the cuttlebone, liquid calcium additive, plaster pucks work great, and I have even heard of adding broken egg shells.Try one of those and it should make a difference.
