So I am starting a 29 and have a snail infestation. I have been reading about chemicals and was wondering, if I had no livestock would it be ok to use?

Would it cause any harm to my plants?

I would skip chemicals. Use a piece of lettuce, once the snails crawl on, remove & throw away.

Infestation as in how many? I really don't think there's any big problem with a healthy population of snails. Unless they're starving, they leave most plants alone and help keep things clean. If you've really got a lot of them, why? Feeding to much?

I agree with Trena that you don't want to use chemicals. Baiting and removing works fine.

They are an eye sore.

I'm thinking of increasing my bps and overdose Co2 because I have no fuana I wouldn't be hurting anything but the snails.
