I want to start an iwagumi tank with about 50 Watts in a 30 gallon. I am gonna use some HC for ground cover, java or christmas moss on some of the rocks and some elodea for part of the background. I have a couple questions before i start.

1. Where can I find some unique rocks for cheap? Can you get them at a home depot or something because the fish store does not have the types of rock i want.

2. i see alot of tanks with great looking backgrounds like the one below and i was wondering how this is accomplished.

3. and last question, would this be possible with 1.66 watts per gallon, no fertilizers, and no CO2?

please comment and make suggestions!!

I saw a rock background on UTube. He made his background with plastic paris, I think.

Safe rocks are granite, lava, peagravel, slate.

TEST rocks by Pouring some vinegar on them, if they bubble/fizz you don't want to use them. They're limestone. Limestone raises the Ph.

At Home depot in barbecue section you can find lava rock
Check out the landscapers for rocks. Some have slate.
