I know people are more prone to post when they have a negative experience, but this time I really wanted to mention my positive experience with Green Leaf Aquariums and Orlando.

I was looking to buy a couple bags of eco-complete for my aquarium. I read about the quality control issues they've been having and was nervous to buy it online. I thought I was going to have to purchase it at the LFS which I normally only venture into for fish just so I could inspect the bags myself, but they wanted over $40 a bag!

I read a recent post by Orlando mentioning how GLA only stocks the 100% bonafide black good stuff. His prices and shipping charges were incredibly reasonable, so I decided to place an order for the two bags. Not only was I guranteed a good batch of the stuff, but with the money I saved I was able to throw in some CO2 resistant tubing, some 4 dKH water for my drop checkers and a bottle of bubble counter solution.

Orlando answered all of my questions with lightning fast speed, everything arrived in 2 days, and when it did arrive, everything was great. The quality of the shipping packaging was also excellent. The priority box the eco-complete came in looked like the postal service employees might've been training for the World Cup on their lunch break. Sometimes USPS packages come pristine, and other times it looks like there was an explosion in the mail truck. Thankfully everything was packaged very well and survived it's journey in prisitne condition.

The bottom line is Orlando and GLA have excellent communication, are extremely helpful and answer questions, are very reasonably priced, and you don't have to wait weeks for your shipment. I think the only downside was that I didn't have more money to spend at their store. I think some of those Cal Aqua filter pipes are going on my christmas list. :D

I think it would be awesome if GLA stocked plants. While the seller forums here are quite nice to buy, different people have different selections of stock, and shipping costs can pile up very quickly to try to get the plants you want.

There really isn't one "goto" for aquatic plant that I know of and ordering from overseas can really create quite a few headaches it seems as far as customs. I think there definitely would be quite a market for a reputable store with good customer service selling plants.
