Hi guys,

As some of you probably know, there was a large aquascaping contest organized 2 weeks ago in Hannover, Germany, called "The Art of the Planted Aquarium". This contest is organized every year, during the zoological fair "Heimtiermesse". The quality of the aquascapes there is outstanding, and improving every year, so I visited this event, and did a lot of filming. Here are first three movies, showing tanks which took places 1-5:

...and some tanks which didn't take any place, but I think they are worth showing, too:

Other movies from The Art of The Planted Aquarium 2012 aquascaping contest coming soon! :)

Hi guys,

Here is the 4th part of the report from this year's The Art of The Planted Aquarium contest. My favourite aquascape is the tank no 29 - I like the harmony of colours of plants and rocks :)

Some more info: http://definiteaquascape.tv/AE12_Hannover2012_04.html

Enjoy! :)

Thanks for the sharing. It's amazing. One interesting thing I noticed is that most of them don't have any fish in the tank.
You're right - no fish :) This is one of the rule of this contest - the organizers think that fish would distract the viewers from admiring the aquascapes... However, I think fish would be a great addition to those (sometimes) really motionless aquariums... :)
