Reefers use carbonate based rocks of relatively low density and weight. If you use something of igneous origin, like a ferro-magnesium basalt, you are going to be using a very much more hefty, dense rock type. From what I see of Amano Aquaria, I sense from the size alone the tanks have tempered glass bottoms, if not sides, and that heavier rocks are thereby supported. My intuition tells me not to load an AGA 55g down with 200 pounds of dense rock.
