The gift of CO2

Hi folks !

My father is planning to redo his Discus-only tank into a planted one with CO2 and ferts. So, I decided to put together nice package of CO2 stuff for him as a gift (stuff that can be mailed internationally without bankrupting me). Here is what I am planning to get, what do you think ?

1. CO2 Regulator (Thinking of Reg Grigg's package with good regulator, CO2 tubing, etc)
2. Bunch of macro ferts
3. Drop checker
4. Pollen glass
5. Flourish Excel (for cheating)
6. Purigen

His tank is 130 G with medium light (about 260 watts or so). What else would you get ?

Do you think Pollen glass would work on 130 Gallon tank ?

a reactor would be best for a tank that size...otherwise multiple glass diffusers would be needed IMO

what sort of filtration does the tank have?

Please see these reactors if interested

Yea, I was thinking about a reactor. I really like the look of small bubbles from pollen glass in the water and I was gonna get ADA one, which looks really nice too :) May be I will do both, a reactor and pollen glass.

By the way, do you know of reactor that I can buy that is worth the money ? I hear most of what is sold is pretty poor quality.

Why not build one for him? You would know it was good quality, and the price would be very inexpensive.
I was offering...lol.....thats why there is a price on post #4
Hi voshod,

Although I have purchased from Rex Grigg in the past, he has suffered some medical issues and his delivery times became excessive last spring and early summer. I might suggest you negotiate a firm ship date on any items prior to placing an order.
