Thaerin, I used a Eheim 2232 on my 20 long and it did a nice job. I have since moved it a 30 and it does not seem to be quite enough flow for my liking. TFP has a sale on the next size up (the 2233) which is rated for 145 gph for $69.99?. The 2232 is $99.99 ? and is rated for 127 gph. If you like to have a heavy fish load you could use the extra gph. I purchased an inline heater for my canister and I really like the heater out of the tank. I have heard good things about the filstars, but I have not used one. I love the Eheim.
