To do

In this thread I'll post stuff that I'd like to have in the PF. I'll try to edit this post rather than have 20 or whatever and have to search through them.

Bolbitis heudelotii - text needed!

E. angustifolius (Helanthium?)

Eleocharis sp. - tall Maryland stuff

Eriocaulons, etc

Fissidens fontanus

Gymnocoronis spilananthoides

Hydrothrix gardneri

Hygrophila sp. 'Sarawak'

Lindernia rotundifolia - normal form

Ludwigia glandulosa - current photo is too pink and does not show it well

Najas guadelupensis/ other Najas spp.

Nymphoides sp. 'Taiwan'

other mosses

Rotala hippuris

Rotala mexicana 'green'

Saururus chinensis - without a photo for a long time. I have a small plant going. Can anybody take it to grow out and photograph?

Shinnersia rivularis (Mexican oak leaf)

Trithuria sp.

Utricularia graminifolia

Vallisneria americana

Zosterella/Heteranthera dubia (not sure which genus name is current)

And as always, photos of anything not in there already. There are quite a few holes and we need high quality photographs.

can we get a list of the photos needed?

I'd love to see more flower and emersed photos for the entries as well....

and I'd like to suggest a photo of plant entries 'in use' i.e. used effectively in an aquascape.
P. erectum text is next.

Yes, we do need more photos of good stands of stuff to show how it's used. That will have to come from people other than Tim and I though.
photos of plants 'in use' could be a contest for the membership.....
It could... We haven't had the best turnout in the past though, and good submissions are far and few between.
this weekend I'm trying for decent shots of Limnophila 'vietnam mini' and the Aciotis submerged (finally).
photography guys feel free to prod me on how to compose better shots. I take a ton of pics but most of them are not nice or professional looking.

I broke down and ordered a 24x18x24 exoterra terrarium this weekend. I'm getting tired of humidity issues, and haven't been able to rig up anything useful for humid emersed growout. This should be nice once I get it going. I've got a spare HQI fixture to put over it, just need to decide on potting and water circulation. those should be easy to settle.

anything else that you are currently looking for pics of Cavan?
I can get a decent shot of Fissidens fontanus in my picotope (nice round bush).

Is Rotala mexicana 'green' the same as Rotala sp. 'green' that tends to creep somewhat in high light? If so, I can also get a good shot of that in my 55.

I also feel comfortable getting some info together for text on Bolbitis. Give me a couple weeks.

the R.mexicana 'green' I have is a weedy plant that gets very tall. Much larger than the other mexicanas. But still with the flat leaves and segmented stems, just like goias / araguaia / belem. I can get a shot of my R.mexicana 'green' since I still have a large stand of it. Dave, I think the Rotala sp 'green' you have may be the Rotala sp 'green narrow' ? I'll see if I have a pic laying around.

I put your submersed photo in there along with the others. I think it looks good! It might be slightly better without the macrandra behind it, but that's really just nitpicking. Did you send me the original?

Adam answered the Rotala question, but I'll welcome the Fissidens photo and Bolbitis text. Thanks for helping out guys! :)

woo hoo Aciotis is in the plantfinder now!
I'll remember to email you the original tomorrow evening.
You may be able to get a better crop out of it.
Here is a px of Rotala hippuris. Do you still need one? Will it work?
