That would be like a dream come true for many of us to be able to go there in person You are lucky! It is always a much better experience to learn something first-hand from the people who are masters at what they're doing. You also have awesome tanks there, man!
Thank you for posting this information here, Oliver. I will echo aquoi's comment. Could we see some closer shots of those individual Amano tanks? They look absolutely amazing.
Daemonfly - that fish looks like an emporer tetra but a long fin variety.
The tanks look great, id also love to see larger pics of individual tanks especiall that huge on with the emersed growth. I remember a older picture of the tank and you can now see the huge plant growth.
although, judging by your work, i can't imagine that you would not be given the chance to meet Mr. Amano. I have gazed awestruck at your setups, on several occaisions.
my trip to Mr.Amano and his company was take place because of my good private and buisness contact to the company since several years. The training days was my idea, and the ADA company invite me. Mr.Amano was a very busy man, so I am very thankful that he spend a lot of time with me.
At the moment I'am writing on a printed book version about my visit in Japan. With all my experience, informations and a lot of pictures (!).
A look behind the scenes from Mr.Amano and his company.
Normaly I plan to write the book only in my native speak, in German.
When the interests are high enough, maybe in English
