My new 5 gallon tank is now cycled! How should I transfer my snails and betta to the new tank, given they are in tanks with different water parameters (e.g., pH of 6 instead of 7)? The new water is better for them, but it could also be a shock. Half an hour in a plastic bag doesn't seem like enough of a transition.

Lastly, how long should the snails live in the new tank before I transfer my betta? I don't want my betta to be territorial. Thanks in advance!

Try drip acclimation or something like that. Put small amount of new water in a bag or container of old water overtime.

I wouldn't worry about the Betta being territorial over the snails.

I transferred my snails to their new tank, and the little one got so scared he's been riding on the mystery snail's back!
