I have a 60g aquarium and the room temp gets down to 64d so i need a heater that will heat my tank to 86d and stay that way.i HAVE DISCUS SO A GOOD HEATER IS IMPORTANT.

ebo jager is probably the most reliable heater i know of and I have been using them for years its the only heater ive ever used that doesn't break within a couple months. they are more expensive but their definitely worth it

Titanium heaters or inline heaters.

Have always had good luck with Visa-Therm Deluxe heaters. Not the Stealth heaters because I went through two of them within a year.

If you are set up for it, I recommend the Hydor inline heaters.

x2... I swapped out the ebo jaeger that was in my 50 gallon tank for a 300 watt Hydor inline and couldn't be happier. Even with winter morning room temps around 50 degrees my tank temp stays where I set it. As good as the ebo's are I still had a lot of temperature fluctuation in the winter which is why I decided to try the Hydor. If you are using a canister filter the Hydors are the way to go... I have never read anything bad about them.
