Hi maknwar,
Also, is the tank new? I always get weird algae problems in new tanks, but things tend to stabilize after a few weeks. Good luck!
This raises an interesting question: we start up a new tank, get algae. So, we try adding X, still have algae. We add Y, still have algae. We change lights, still have algae. Time is passing and the tank is no longer so new. We finally drop a gum drop in the tank, algae goes away!!! We have a new algae prevention device?

I'm not just joking. I wonder how many of our successful efforts to get rid of algae succeed just because of the time that has passed?
