Water softner??

I just installed a Water softening system in my house. I am not using sodium chloride, I am using potassium chloride to soften the water. Is this safe to use in my tanks???

I wouldn't do it. How hard is your tap water? Check out this thread which talks about us folks with liquid rock and our experiences.
