Now that I upgraded from low light, hardly any fertilizer to better light ( not sure 150 watts, 6500K for 10g is high light or not ) , regular PMDD dosage, I see a few green dots on the glass and on a few leaves, which I am guessing is algae. I also saw something I haven't seen before in my tank, they are like minute green plants, looks like a mini oriental fan kind of thingy which I am guessing is also some kind of algae. I set up my DIY Co2 yesterday.

I think it is time for me to start testing water. I have seen individual testing kits and master testing kits from Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, Red Sea and some other brands. I am inclined towards one of the master testing kits as they seem to be more economical.

What do you use for testing ? What brand, individual or master kit ?

I use individual test kits. ALthough nice, master test kits have some test you don't need & don't have others you do need. All you really need is PH, P04, N03 & KH test kits.
