I have had this plant for a week or so now, and it grows great. 1-2 new leaves every day or 2 com shooting from the bulb. I like the positioning and the growth of this plant, I would like the appearance if the leaves hadn't turned to a brown/redish color. I have plenty of light (3w/gal) and no other plants are blocking light to it. I am injecting CO2 into the aquarium as and the leaves pearl nicley (even the off-colored ones). So photosynthsis is taking place... I just added some ferts around the bulb hopeing to get the color back in this plant. It would be an awesome plant if it kept the bright green that I see them in other people's aquariums.

I have one A. crispus that does the same thing. Let me know if increased root feeding seems to do the trick.

are you adding any ferts to your tank with the A. crispus? If so what do you dose with? Would just like to start eliminating possible causes for the discolleration.

I have added Fe and Trace recently and added florenette A root tabs around the bulb.

How about I tell you what I don't dose instead?

I haven't put root tabs in since March. I dose pretty much everything else.

How many W/gal do you currently have on yours? I changed one of my bulbs after a week of adding the root tabs with no results. In the rear of the tank i was running lighting around 6700K I replaced one of the 2 with an Ultra Trilux (around 9600K I think) from what I have read this paticular plant requires a lot of light and frets.

Anyone lese have experiences with this plant?
