I know that HDPE can be used for CO2 tubing, but would it be safe to use as part of the tubing in the filtration path? Thanks.

It is inert as far as I know. We used to use it for cell liner in landfill construction and it it won't react to trash leachate then nothing will react with it, lol.

The question is, why would you want to? It is VERY stiff and rigid. And usually more expensive than vinyl.

I am replacing my green eheim spray bar with some black PET tubing, so it won't stand out from my background as much.
