Any kind of Vallisneria, Swords, Egeria densa (Anacharis), Hornwort, Java Fern, Mosses, Anubias, the more common Cryptocoryne species (like wendtii, lucens, ) and Ludwigia repens and Hygrophila polysperma are hardy and good for starting off.

Some of the online plant dealers will offer a low-light package, or a hard-to-kill / beginner package. You can also find many starter packs for sale on this site in the sale/trade forum.
