Carpeting plants: Pygmy chain sword (Echinodorus tenellus)
For driftwood: Java fern (Microsorum pteropus), Anubias species (A. nana, A barteri, A. aflezi, etc.)

most mossses are good for drift wood. you just need to tie with nylon thread,staple or use a nylon hair net to hold them on the wood until they take root and cover the net or whatever.

java moss (expect to prune alot)
Erect Moss (grows upward instead on downward)
Christmass Moss
alot others i dont own
