But I think it is indeed N. beckfordi, becuase of the difference in color between the top and bottom portions. I don't think it's a Coral Red.

My beckford pencils have had a sustainable population for many years in my planted tank. I do nothing for them but every month or so I see a new "freefry" who has gotten large enough to survive. They seem to be year round spawners a few eggs are laid every day.
